From NOVACT we are promoting the project Menja’t Barcelona, a project funded by the City Council of Barcelona that wants to contribute to the promotion of more resilient agri-limentary models before the climate change that will allow us to reduce the ecological huella in the city of Barcelona.
How do we make it possible?
- We favor the green transition of commercial food stables, catering and social entities (cooperatives, consumer groups, etc.) has an offer and sale of local and ecological products (conecting with local producers in the area).
- We promote a local food consumption and responsible for citizenship, focused on a healthy, fair and sustainable diet by means of actions of sensitization, training and incentives linked to the REC citizen currency.
- We establish strategies for intercooperation with different agents in the food chain to share herramientas, resources, distribution and commercialization channels to work and give a collective response to shared needs.
What do we have?
This project is carried out in collaboration with the Rezero Foundation, which works to promote conscious consumption in the city of Barcelona, with the aim of continuing to generate positive benefits in terms of promoting the consumption of proximity and reducing ecological huella. Rezero works in different areas of Barcelona with a large highlighted Comerç Verd that will not allow you to get to many areas of the city.
We are committed to taking a good step forward and to giving greater value to local consumption, connecting local producers with points of sale and commercial sectors, to have a greater impact on the reduction of ecological huella and in consumption areas focused on sustainable, healthy and fair food.

If you want to contribute to promoting a conscious, local and quality consumption, download the REC app (available for iOS and Android) and overcome the challenges of the apartado Participa. Overcoming these tender challenges will have two types of awards:
In the “Premios” section of the REC app, information and advice related to sustainable consumption can be visualised, which helps citizens to consume in a more responsible way.
All those people who have overcome the challenge will recycle the discount in RECS to the wallet of the app that has been specified in the challenge. This bonus will be recorded in the wallet of the app a vez haya finalized the plazo to overcome the set (usually the moons in a semanal way). In addition, “super retos” will be published periódica, to reward those people who participate most in their purchases in RECS.
