Purpose
The personal data of the user of this Website will be processed for the following purposes:

To manage your participation in the Sistema d’Intercanvi Ciutadà Rec (Citizen Exchange System Rec). Likewise, for a correct follow-up and control of the use made of the System, NOVACT will be able to keep track of the operations carried out by the users, both consumers and professionals, as well as to carry out its subsequent analysis for the purposes of improving its own System. The data processed for this purpose will be kept for as long as the User’s participation in the aforementioned System is maintained and, once this has ended, for the legally stipulated periods of conservation and prescription of responsibilities. The legal basis for processing the data is the consent given by the user when accepting these terms of use and the privacy policy.

To enable the user to complete the survey and formalise their participation in the ATARCA research project led by Aalto University (Finland), within the framework of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 FET Open, which also includes profiling. The data processed for this purpose will be kept for as long as the User’s participation in the aforementioned Project is maintained and, once this has ended, for the legally stipulated periods of conservation and prescription of responsibilities. The legal basis for the processing is the consent of the data subject to fill in the survey and take part in the research project. The project will collect data about the participants’ age, sex, educational level, employment status, and data about the participants’ involvement in complementary currencies. Such data will only be collected with the participants’ consent, and will be used in socio-economic analysis of the pilot experiment. The analysis will not require or use any information about the real-life identity of the participants, nor data which might be sufficient to identify any of the participants.

To deal with requests for information and/or queries made by the User. The data processed for this purpose will be kept until the request for information and/or consultation has been answered and, after that, for the legally stipulated periods of conservation and prescription of responsibilities. The legal basis for the processing is the consent of the User.

To keep the User informed, including by electronic means, about new developments at NOVACT and its projects. The data processed for this purpose will be retained until such time as the User withdraws his or her consent to receive such communications, and thereafter for the legally stipulated periods of retention and limitation of liability. The legal basis for the processing is the consent of the User.

Recipients
The data provided by the User will not be transferred to third parties, except in the following cases: a) Communications to Public Administrations for the fulfilment of legal obligations; b) Communications between the users of the System themselves at the time a payment is made. Each exchange will be reflected in the mobile application and the two users who took part in the operation will be able to view their respective data; c) Communication to the payment service provider in order to manage payments and exchanges; and d) To the entity that in the future will be constituted as a Board of Change and that will assume the management of the System.
Likewise, data may be communicated to the following categories of data processors: providers of electronic communications, office automation, hosting, housing, computer maintenance, management, accounting, auditing, consultancy and legal representation. These processors may transfer personal data to processors located in third countries and with which standard data protection clauses have been formalised by the European Commission (Commission Decision (EU) 2021/914/EU of 4 June 2021).
In particular, for the purposes of the ATARCA project, all data processors (technical solutions such as apps, services and servers) are located in the EU and international transfers are not foreseen.

Rights
The User may exercise his/her rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection before NOVACT. Similarly, in the processing of User data whose legitimacy is based on the consent given by the User, the User has the right to withdraw such consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent prior to its withdrawal.

In any case, the User has the right to lodge a complaint with the corresponding supervisory authority if he/she deems it appropriate.
In the event that the user communicates data of a third party to the System, as in the case of “authorised persons”, it is the user who undertakes to provide them, in advance, with the information contained in this clause and obtain the consent of such third parties.
