The REC VERD project, co-financed by Barcelona City Council, aims to promote sustainable consumption in the city through REC currency. To do this, from 2 May 2023 to 30 November 2023, weekly challenges will be published in the “Participa” section of the REC app. These challenges will consist of making a certain number of purchases, spending a certain amount of RECS, making a purchase in a specific trade, etc.

To overcome these challenges will have two types of awards:

– In the “Awards” section of the REC app, information and tips related to sustainable consumption can be viewed that helps citizens consume in a more responsible way.

– All those who have overcome the challenge will receive in the wallet of the app the discount in RECS that has been specified in the challenge. This bonus will be received in the purse of the app once the time has finished to overcome the challenge (usually on Mondays weekly)

In addition, on July 6, 2023, a draw of a basket with products from the participating stores was held for a value of 50 RECS. Continue participating more actively, complete the next “super challenge” and you will be able to win the next basket.

The RECS bonuses can be spent until November 30, 2023.
