From August 2021 to December 2021, 425 families in the Eix Besòs received a 25% of the monthly amount of the 016 Children’s Fund Aid in REC citizen currency. These families had an extra check of 200 RECS to spend in local stores.
These RECS have circulated in the Eix Besòs local stores that are part of the REC until June 2022.
The 016 Children’s Fund Aid is an extraordinary aid granted by the Barcelona City Council to families in a situation of vulnerability to cover the basic subsistence needs of children or adolescents from 0 to 16 years old. The aid is given for a maximum of 6 months in all cases.
